We are based in the rural Eden Valley village of Newby, midway between Penrith and Appleby-In-Westmorland, Cumbria. We have excellent links to the M6 north & south and the trans Pennine A66.
From a very young age, I have taken a special interest in the breeding of bloodstock and particularly of our beloved British Riding Pony. A kind friend often took me with her to visit Jean Barry, one of the top breeders and owner of The Fair ponies. Thanks to her I saw some of the legends such as Holly of Spring and Sandbourne Royal Ensign.
After a happy childhood competing in Showing and Working Hunter Pony classes on my home produced ponies, I moved naturally onto horses and onto the eventing circuit. I successfully trained and evented all over the UK for many years. After a long illness, however, I gave up eventing and took to pure dressage, and went back to the show ring with a show hack - who also gained over 100 British Dressage points whilst with me.
To educate myself fully about the breeding side, I spent a season at the Holltess Stud in Gloucestershire, working with their resident stallions and mares and foals. This opened my eyes to the joys and the heartaches of breeding, and to the many long hours spent preparing and planning for the safe arrival of a top quality, line bred foal.
My whole life now revolves around the mares, stallions and foals, endeavouring to breed the best possible.

I am striving to breed true children's riding ponies for the show ring and all disciplines, following many years of producing my own ridden ponies, which have all gone on to continue their careers, carrying their young jockeys safely and sensibly to great success.
